The Sergeant Major's House at Dover Castle

The Sergeant Major's House is a three-bedroom holiday cottage that comfortably sleeps six people. Situated inside Dover Castle's historic walls, this spacious and elegant four-storey Georgian building has its own grounds just inside the Western Outer Curtain Wall with captivating views over the town and out to France. As its name suggests, it was once the home to the regimental Sergeant Major of the garrison who were based in the castle. The site also has 24 hours’ security. Included in your booking is a luxury hamper, as well as entry to all English Heritage sites and most events, 10% off in our shops and cafés during your stay. Discover Dover Castle

The Sergeant Major's House stands in its own grounds within the castle's historic walls. This elegant and spacious four-storey Georgian building sleeps six, and is set in its own grounds just inside the Western Outer Curtain Wall. As its name suggests, it was once the home of the Regimental Sergeant Majors who were garrisoned in the castle.
